A Thankful Fall Season!

Thanksgiving is definitely a holiday to give thanks for all that we have. Traditionally its based on giving thanks to the new harvest. Usually everyone associates harvest with fall, and fall with ambers and browns.

Here are some beautiful looks I found for thanksgiving. No one said your home needs to look ORANGE every thanksgiving!

I love albino pumpkins!

Taking pumpkins to another level. Add gems, buttons, and tokens to add a decorative look to match the design and feel of your home.

Have an extra globe hanging around in the attic?

A can of spray paint goes a long way...

Personalization with a toothpick

Use the fall harvest to your decorative advantage while you're at the grocery store!

Love the acorns!

Mix and match your plates to the event you're hosting!

These pumpkin stems can be found at your local grocery store! I always have them in my home during the fall season.

... And something for the men in our lives!

Have some time to add velvet fabric to your pumpkins? All you need are some tiny pins to create the ripples and keep them in place.

Pretty pretty pastels!

Fabulosity!!! My jaw hit the ground when I saw this outdoor lounge area. Then I thought how nice would it be if someone ... anyone really could throw me a party and have it look like this! And after I stopped day dreaming I realized it was never going to happen *tear.*

Then I started pondering about what Katy Perry's wedding would look like? Weird? Think "California Gurls" meets shabby chic evening. For some reason when I saw the lounge area I thought huge gold elephant statues, lavish birdcages, silk turbans, and pink hookahs that are six feet tall. Check out the look I put together.

Beige, Champagne, Blush & Taupe...

Neutrals are definitely a smash hit this year. From designers like Elie Saab, Vera Wang, and Zuhair Murad neutrals are bringing warmth and femininity to every event.

I was helping my friend Ellen last night with some design ideas for her upcoming nuptials and she made it a point to mention that her wedding HAD to reflect the whimsical elegance neutrals bring to an event.

Even though some people lacking panache might believe that neutrals exemplify an element of aged boringness I thought I'd do some exploring. So after Ellen went home to sleep after a late night of going back and forth ... my quest began.

I figured if Elie,Vera, and Zuhair could make it work I could surely come up with some something. This one's for you Ellen...

A Royal Affair

Finally!

Prince William proposes to his long time girlfriend Kate Middleton. The 28-year-old Berkshire beauty, whose parents run a children’s party supply business, is apparently descended from the 14th-century monarch King Edward III and his wife Queen Phillipa. How convenient!

The couple is rumored to wed in the spring or summer of 2010 in London. Wow ... that definitely does not give her design team much time to plan the most extravagant wedding to hit London since Princess Diana’s marriage to Prince Charles. The fiancĂ©e of Prince William of Wales definitely has some big shoes to fill!

What does Kate Middleton’s engagement ring look like?
The 18-carat oval sapphire surrounded by diamonds was the one worn by Princess Diana.

I definitely cannot wait to see the details on this one. The dress, the shoes, the FLOWERS! I have a feeling Kate is going to do quite well. Congrats to the happy couple!
